  TUK TUK

This route provides an excellent variety of paddling and fascinating features. Much of the Kipawa region’s early history is centred around this route. The large lakes and scenic rivers once attracted the establishment of Algonquin families and subsequent logging pioneers. As a result, the route provides various interesting natural and cultural heritage sites. Scenery is diverse and marshes provide excellent bird and wildlife viewing opportunities. The most part of the route is isolated.

  BROUSSE

Brousse is known in English as the Outback and that it is! Numerous challenging portages including one over a beaver dam connect fabulous remote lakes and rivers. Scenery is spectacular and varied. From the fjord like surroundings of Lac des Six Îles to the winding shoreline scenery of the Cerise River, the landscape lends itself to a memorable experience.

  L'ÉCHELLE

This route takes a portion of Tuk Tuk’s historical route and then reroutes into some prime remote paddling and fishing lake country. There is a nice waterfall between lakes Pants and L’Échelle. The route provides excellent navigation training opportunities as the route winds through a variety of lakes and lake passages. It offers reminders of early timbering and settlement with old marine railways paralleling the portages to Lake Pommeroy.
